Machine construction:

Bed.

Mild steel fabrication designed to give strength and rigidity. Contains large cutting oil/coolant tank internally, complete with straining plates to separate cuttings from cutting oil. Supply pump mounted externally providing easy access for maintenance. Above the cutting oil/coolant tank there is an adequate easily accessible area for cuttings. Your conveyer details would be required so machine access can be made to suit.

Headstocks.

Two headstocks are mounted onto the machine bed. The left-hand headstock is mounted on ‘Linear recirculating ball bearings’ bedways which are in turn bolted to the machine bed. These allow the headstock to traverse giving the working stroke, the movement obtained using a Ballscrew. On top of the headstock is fitted the Spindle drive servomotor. Spindle speeds can be selected direct from the Key Pad. To the spindle drive motors a current load sensor will be fitted, this will indicate the start of threading and will be used to determine length of thread. The right hand headstock has the same configuration as the left hand with the addition that the bedways are mounted on to a moving sub base, which in turn runs on linear recirculating ball bearings. It will be arranged so that length adjustment can be accomplished quickly and easily to suit different length components.

Vices.

These are air operated, with self centring action.

Dieheads.

2 off ¾” (6R) Lanco diehead be fitted. This would give a standard range 6 to 20mm Fitted with Plain Trip

TS20DE. Double End Threading Machine.

Machine is arranged to thread both ends of a Bar or Tube simultaneously. It will be arranged with quick release dieheads and tapping heads. A sloping magazine type feeder positions components into the area where two loading arms select and place a single component between self centring grips of the twin vices. Vices grip the component, both carriages feed forward and threading begins. On completion of threading, heads open and carriages rapidly retract. Vices open, component rolls away from the machining area along two inclined rails; these are positioned on the opposite side of the machine to the feed in magazine.
